Homepage Builder
The Homepage Builder lets you design a fully custom public homepage for your portal with a drag-and-drop editor — no coding required. Visitors who aren't logged in will see your custom page; logged-in members continue to see the standard member homepage.
Opening the Builder
- Go to Settings → Portal Settings
- Expand the Homepage Builder section
- Click Open Homepage Builder
Access requires the Manage Settings permission.
Starter Templates
Don't want to start from a blank page? Choose one of four professionally designed starter templates and customize from there:
- Classic — Confident & athletic. Navy/blue color scheme with stats and grid pricing.
- Bold — Premium & dramatic. Near-black with gold accents and list pricing.
- Warm — Friendly & approachable. Indigo/coral with compact pricing.
- Minimal — Editorial & refined. Off-white, photo-free, with grid pricing.
Every template pulls in your real membership levels automatically, so the preview matches what visitors will actually see.
Building Blocks
Drag blocks from the panel onto the canvas to build your page:
- Headers — several styles including logo + links, dark bar with button, and logo + tagline
- Welcome Hero — a large banner section for your headline and call-to-action
- Layout columns — 1, 2, 3, or 4 column sections for arranging content
- Testimonials — classic card, quote-first, side-by-side, and dark highlight styles
- Footers — simple centered, bold dark band, split left-right, and bordered card styles
- Membership Levels widget — see below
- Google Reviews widget — see below
You can also upload your own images directly in the builder.
Membership Levels Widget
The Membership Levels widget displays your active membership plans with live pricing, descriptions, signup fees, and sign-up buttons. Click the ⚙ Design button on the widget to customize:
Layout
- Grid (cards) — side-by-side pricing cards
- Stacked List — full-width rows
- Compact Row — condensed horizontal layout
Styling
- Card background, border color, border radius, and shadow (none / subtle / strong)
- Plan name, price, and description text colors
- Button background, text color, and border radius
- Column gap spacing
You can also choose which membership levels appear in the widget and edit the section heading text.
Coupon Code
Want your Join Now buttons to carry a discount code? Choose a code on the widget and every button links to the registration page with the code already filled in, so the visitor sees it applied. You don't need Edit HTML for this.
- Go to Settings → Portal Settings → Homepage Builder and click Open Homepage Builder
- Click a Membership Levels widget, then press the ⚙ Design button
- Find the Coupon code dropdown and choose a code
- Click Done, then Save
The dropdown lists None plus your discount codes that can currently be used. Codes are created under Membership → Discount Codes — see Discount Codes.
- One code per widget — the code applies to the whole widget, not to individual cards. If you have two Membership Levels widgets on the page, each can use a different code.
- Codes limited to certain levels — if a code is limited under Membership Restrictions → Allowed Membership Levels, only the Join Now buttons for those levels carry it.
- Codes that stop working — if a code expires, is turned off, or reaches its usage limit, the Join Now buttons go back to normal links on their own. The dropdown shows the saved code with "(inactive)" after it, for example SUMMER25 (inactive), so you can see why.
- Only these buttons — this affects the Join Now buttons inside the Membership Levels widget only. Other buttons on the page, such as a separate button block lower down, are not part of it. Their links are set in that button's own link settings.
Picking or changing a code needs the Manage Membership Levels permission. Staff who can open the Homepage Builder without it see the dropdown disabled with the saved code shown, and a saved code stays in place when they save the page.
Google Reviews Widget
The Google Reviews widget (found in the Reviews block category) displays real reviews from your Google Business Profile right on your homepage — star rating, review count, and up to 5 Google reviews (shown in Google's relevance order) with reviewer names and photos.
Connecting Your Business
- Drag the Google Reviews block onto the canvas (the connect dialog opens automatically), or click ⚙ Design on an existing widget
- Paste your Google Business Profile link, or type your business name to search
- Click This is my business on the correct match
The widget fills in with your live reviews immediately.
What Visitors See
- Your overall star rating and total Google review count
- Up to 5 Google reviews (Google provides at most 5, in its own relevance order)
- A Leave a Review button that takes visitors straight to Google's review form
- A View More Reviews button linking to your Google listing
Keeping Reviews Fresh
Reviews are cached and refreshed automatically every night — you don't need to do anything to keep them up to date. If your rating or reviews change on Google, your homepage catches up within a day.
Publishing
Click Save in the builder to publish your homepage immediately. Your custom page replaces the default homepage for logged-out visitors right away.
To go back to the default homepage, remove the custom content and save.
Who Sees What
| Visitor | Homepage shown |
|---|---|
| Not logged in | Your custom builder homepage |
| Logged-in member | The standard member homepage |
This keeps marketing content (signup calls-to-action, pricing pitches) in front of prospects while members land on the familiar portal view.
